Market featuring Annual Creative Construction Contest

H.J.
Heinz Fremont is enjoying a “three-peat” as they were once again crowned the winners of the 3rd annual Creative Construction Contest in Downtown Fremont, sponsored by Croghan Colonial Bank. Their entry this year featured a “crop of
ketchup” bottles which was meant to enhance their “Grown Not Made” promotion in 2009. This display received the most votes during the recent contest in which over 200 votes were cast throughout the weeklong contest.
The judge’s award was presented to The UPS Store. Their entry was a tall flower vase, which was completely constructed of their products. The
vase was hand-woven cardboard filled with flowers made of tissue paper and shipping labels.
Croghan Colonial Bank and Downtown Fremont, Inc. would like to thank the following businesses for participating in this contest:

Service Club Olympics.
The club was presented $500 by
the event sponsor Carbo Forge.
October 17,

Market featuring 4th Annual Scarecrow Decorating Contest
and Chamber Market 5K Fun Run and Relay with proceeds
benefitting Sandusky County Cancer Care Fund.
Sponsored by: Memorial Hospital
Looking Good Aveda Concept Salon and Spa decorated
the winning scarecrow in the 2009 contest sponsored
by Memorial Hospital.
"Kate
Moss" received the most votes among 30 entries and
took home the $100 cash prize.
